An optional a one-and-a-half day field excursion will depart from the Symposium venue at 1:00 pm on Thursday 20th September following the closing session.  Registration for this excursion will require payment of a fee in addition to the Symposium registration fee.  Lunch will be provided on the coach en route to the first field excursion stop.  All participants will need to make onward travel plans, or book accommodation, taking into consideration the excursion will end in Perth at about 6:00 pm on Friday 21st (earlier returns are not possible).
This excursion will visit agricultural, horticultural and natural ecosystems sites of relevance to Symposium themes in the Perth metropolitan region and hinterland. The excursion includes an overnight stay at the historic town of New Norcia about 130 km north of Perth, in the Western Australian wheatbelt.  
Further details of the route and sites to be visited during this excursion will be provided on this webpage prior to the close of early registrations.  The number of participants in this excursion will be limited by available transport and access to some sites, however, we will attempt to accommodate all delegates who wish to participate.
